Q.What is the Desk Reference?
A.The Desk Reference is a comprehensive directory of services,
self-help groups, and other resources available to St. Lawrence County residents.
It derives from the online databases our hotline staff use in daily service.
Q.What's new in the Desk Reference?
A.We've added more detailed information about private counseling
practices in the North Country. Our listings now show: degrees held, types of counseling available,
fees, and insurance information. In addition, we have added or updated listings for
human services agencies, local self-help and support groups, crisis and information hotlines, and resources at the state and national level.
How to order the 2004-2005 REACHOUT Desk Reference
The latest edition is still being written at this time. We hope to publish and begin shipping the new edition in first quarter 2005. Pricing has not been set at this time, but will probably fall in the $25-30 range for each copy of the full Desk Reference.
